Backfill entry Dating honesty first: LIT has traded publicly since December 30, 2025, and even the newest event on this page, Upbit's won listing, dates from August 24, 2026, a few days before we wrote it. We are adding the listing fiche now for tracker completeness, because we already cover the Lighter airdrop and its token deserves its own venue history. Nothing on this page is breaking news.

Most tokens climb the exchange ladder one rung at a time: a mid-tier venue at launch, a roadmap entry months later, a US listing if volumes justify it, Korea last. Lighter ran the whole staircase in seventeen days. Coinbase Markets put LIT on its listing roadmap on December 13, 2025, before the token existed. Binance opened pre-market perpetuals on December 23, a week ahead of launch. And on December 30, TGE day itself, Coinbase announced the spot listing while the price pushed toward $3, per BeInCrypto. The only major gate left was Korean retail, and that one opened on August 24, 2026, when Upbit switched on a LIT/KRW market at 13:00 KST, per crypto.news.

Why the arc was this fast

Listing speed is a measurement, not a favor. As our guide to listing mechanics lays out, exchanges list what already has proven demand, and Lighter arrived at TGE with the most farmed points program of the post-Hyperliquid cycle behind it: a zero-knowledge perp DEX with a year of real volume, a quarter of its billion-token supply promised to users, and a waiting cohort of airdrop recipients who would need somewhere to trade. Binance running pre-market perps on an unlaunched token is the tell; pre-market products only exist when an exchange is confident the spot demand will show up on schedule.

Figure 01The LIT venue arc, per BeInCrypto, Bitget News and crypto.news. Seventeen days from roadmap to a Coinbase listing, then an eight-month wait for the won market.

The eight-month gap before Korea is the part that fits the classic pattern. Upbit's listing bar is among the strictest anywhere, and it tends to arrive after a token has proven it can hold a market cap through a full cycle of unlocks and narrative rotation. When the won market finally opened, it came with Upbit's standard launch controls, deposits on Ethereum only against the official contract, a roughly five-minute buy restriction at the open, and limit orders only at first, the same kit we documented on the GRVT Korean debut.

What the Upbit pop is worth

The market's answer was a rally of more than 20 percent around the listing, with short-squeeze chatter and overbought readings on the fast timeframes, per AMBCrypto and CoinMarketCap's coverage. Our framing for every Korean listing applies unchanged: a KRW pair changes who can conveniently own the token, and for a mid-cap that can genuinely reshape the holder base, but it adds nothing to protocol revenue. The durable story for LIT is the one running underneath the venue news, buybacks burning supply, the Robinhood Chain integration feeding it a retail order flow pipeline, and a rewards budget denominated in a token you can now price on five major venues. The venue list is effectively complete. From here, the chart belongs to the fundamentals, and the fee telemetry we track on the airdrop page is the number that decides whether Korean retail just bought a machine that pays for its own float, or one that still rents its volume.

Not financial advice Listings often spike and then bleed once the initial hype unwinds. Nothing here is a suggestion to buy this token. Verify dates on the exchange's own announcement page before trading: schedules slip.
