infiniFi, a stablecoin yield protocol on Ethereum, published the allocation of its INFI token on October 14 and said the token generation event (TGE), the day a token first trades, is coming soon. The ecosystem gets 45 percent, the team 20, investors 20 and the foundation 15. The airdrop comes from the ecosystem share. No date, supply or airdrop size has been given.

Where it stands

The post is the second step on a path the project laid out in late August. On August 25 infiniFi said the TGE would come in Q4 2026 and that, from August 26 at 11:00 AM Eastern until the TGE, points would be paid from a new fixed token allocation. Seasons 1 and 2 keep their own fixed allocations and are not diluted by the newer period, the post said.

On September 23 the company announced a round of more than $3 million led by Electric Capital, which took total funding past $6 million.

The October 14 post adds the split and the airdrop source but not the numbers a farmer needs. There is no total supply, so 45 percent cannot be turned into a token count. There is no airdrop percentage inside the ecosystem pool, no snapshot date and no eligibility rule. infiniFi said further details on utility, distribution and the airdrop will be released progressively before the TGE.

Figure 01INFI supply by allocation, from infiniFi's October 14 post as reported by KuCoin News, ChainCatcher and TechFlow. The community airdrop is a part of the 45 percent ecosystem share, and the size of that part is not published.

The structure is the opposite of Variational's, which named a 32 percent airdrop and left the ecosystem reserve vague. Here the ecosystem number is firm and the airdrop inside it is not. Team and investors together hold 40 percent, with no vesting schedule published yet. Our tokenomics guide explains why the unlock schedule matters more than the headline split.

How the protocol and the points work

infiniFi takes USDC deposits and mints iUSD, a receipt token. A depositor then chooses a duration. Staking iUSD into siUSD keeps the position liquid and earns the yield from liquid venues. Locking it into liUSD for a set number of weeks earns the higher yield from positions the protocol cannot exit quickly, such as fixed-term Pendle markets. The docs describe this as fractional-reserve banking brought on-chain: short-dated deposits fund long-dated assets, with the mismatch managed by the protocol's own balance sheet.

That design is the risk as well as the pitch. A locked liUSD position cannot leave before its term ends, and the liquid tier depends on the protocol keeping enough reserve to meet redemptions. Our stablecoin guide covers why a yield-bearing dollar token is not a bank deposit.

Points follow deposited capital, with multipliers for the product chosen and a bonus on direct referrals. Since August 26 they come from a fixed allocation, which means every new depositor shares a pool that does not grow. The conversion from points to INFI is unpublished.

Figure 02The INFI path as infiniFi has described it in its August 25 and October 14 posts. No date inside Q4 has been given.

Deposits have shrunk from their peak. DefiLlama's API showed about $61.8 million of value locked on October 15, with $58.6 million on Ethereum, $3.1 million on Monad and about $134,000 on Base. The project's own September figures put the peak near $180 million and current deposits above $50 million, with more than $9 million of yield paid to users since launch. The two sets of numbers are consistent, and the drop means a wallet depositing today competes with a smaller base than a summer farmer did.

What would change this page

We rate the entry confirmed because the project itself has committed to a token, a quarter and an airdrop. Confirmed is not dated. Q4 runs to December 31, and a TGE described as coming soon on October 14 could still slip. Three facts would move this page: a total supply, which turns the 45 percent into tokens; the airdrop's share of the ecosystem pool and its snapshot date; and any vesting on the 40 percent held by team and investors.

Until then, the cost of taking part is the deposit itself. Points are a tiebreaker for someone who would hold a yield-bearing stablecoin position anyway, and our farming guide argues against sizing a position for an unpriced token. We could not read the official X posts directly in our check, so a detail posted only there may be missing from this page.

How to position yourself

  1. Read how the protocol works before depositing. iUSD is minted against USDC, siUSD stakes it for liquid yield, and liUSD locks it for weeks in exchange for the illiquid yield. A locked position cannot be exited early.
  2. Deposit only stablecoins you can leave in place. Points follow deposited capital and the multipliers attached to each product, so the position is the farm, and the position carries smart contract and duration risk.
  3. Use the points dashboard at app.infinifi.xyz/points to check your balance, and use the same wallet throughout. Referrals earn a bonus on direct referees' activity.
  4. Wait for the TGE announcement on infiniFi's own X account or app before clicking any claim link. No claim exists today, no snapshot date is published, and a claim page before the official one is a scam.

Reality check None of these steps guarantee an allocation. Teams change criteria late, add anti-sybil filters, and sometimes never ship a token. Only spend time and gas you are fine writing off.
