Somewhere in the growing file of things that were jokes until an exchange listed them, DebtReliefBot deserves its own tab. On August 25, 2026, Coinbase announced a DRB-USD spot pair, four days after adding the token to its listing roadmap in the same batch as Basecat, Grass and Dolphin, per Bitcoin Sistemi's coverage of the announcement. Trading opens in supported regions once liquidity conditions are met, no date promised, which is why this fiche says announced rather than listed. What separates DRB from the thousand other memecoins that will never see a Coinbase pair is not the chart. It is the birth certificate.

Figure 01From prompt to pair: the DRB pipeline, March 2025 to August 2026. The last box is still pending.

The strangest origin story in the batch

The short version, per the project's own site and the Clanker deployment record: in March 2025 someone on X asked Grok, xAI's chatbot, to suggest a memecoin name. Grok proposed DebtReliefBot, ticker DRB. The Bankr bot, an autonomous deployment agent, picked up the suggestion and launched the token on Base through the Clanker protocol within minutes, seeding liquidity automatically, with a supply of 100 billion tokens. No human wrote the contract or chose the ticker, which earned DRB the label of the first agent-to-agent token, and the mechanics added a punchline that keeps giving: Clanker routes a share of DRB trading fees to a wallet designated for Grok, making an AI model a passive earner on a token it named as a joke. Eighteen months later, the largest regulated crypto exchange in the United States has cleared that joke through legal, security and technical review.

We would gently insist on what this is not. It is not an AI product, a protocol or a revenue story; there is nothing downstream of the origin except the origin's virality. What Coinbase evaluated is a Base ERC-20 with distribution, liquidity history and a story people repeat, and by memecoin standards that combination is the asset. The category label on this fiche says memecoin first and AI agent second, in that order, on purpose.

A sixfold move into an announcement, and what usually follows

The tape treated the pipeline news the way thin floats always treat good headlines. Per CoinGecko on August 26, DRB trades near $0.000176 with about $1.4 million in daily volume, up roughly 590 percent across the seven days that contained both the roadmap inclusion and the pair announcement. A move of that size into a listing, rather than after one, is the pattern our listings guide keeps re-documenting: the repricing happens when the possibility becomes public, and whoever buys the confirmation is often buying from whoever bought the rumor. With a market cap this small, a single market maker's inventory decisions can dominate the order book for weeks after the pair opens, assuming it opens on schedule at all.

So the checklist for this page is short and mechanical. First, confirmation that DRB-USD is actually live, which flips the status and adds an event line. Second, whether the post-listing tape holds any of the sixfold move once Coinbase's retail flow can actually express an opinion. Third, the thing we watch on every memecoin listing: whether the attention that carried the token to a US venue survives contact with the next story. DRB has already outlived every reasonable expectation for a token invented by one chatbot and deployed by another. Whether that makes it a curiosity or a holding is a question we leave entirely to you, ideally after a pass through the tokenomics primer, which struggles gamely with an asset whose only fundamental is a good anecdote.

Not financial advice Listings often spike and then bleed once the initial hype unwinds. Nothing here is a suggestion to buy this token. Verify dates on the exchange's own announcement page before trading: schedules slip.
