Upbit gave Conflux the full-access version of a Korean listing. On July 31, 2026 at 16:00 KST, CFX opened for spot trading across three markets simultaneously, KRW, BTC and USDT, with deposits and withdrawals switching on about 90 minutes ahead of the first trade. That three-pair debut is the detail worth pausing on. Korean exchanges often introduce a token on the BTC market first and let it earn its way to a won pair; going straight to KRW on day one is Upbit signaling it expects real retail demand, since the won market is where Korean retail volume actually lives. Our guide on how exchange listings work covers why the choice of quote currency says more than the listing announcement itself.
The market treated it accordingly. CFX gained roughly 8.5% in the 24 hours before trading began, reaching about $0.045, and daily volume roughly doubled to around $13 million, per crypto.news. The token's market cap sat near $236 million at announcement time, which makes this a mid-small cap getting access to one of the deepest retail liquidity pools in Asia. For a token that size, a KRW pair can genuinely change the ownership base rather than just adding a venue.
The won pair, open from minute one.
Bitcoin-quoted market, same start.
Stablecoin pair for dollar traders.
Conflux eSpace exclusively; other routes risk stuck funds.
Market orders disabled at open to damp spikes.
Early buy restrictions and a floor near the reference price.
What Conflux is, and how Upbit boxed in the launch
Conflux is a layer-1 that has been around since the last cycle, notable mostly for two things: a hybrid consensus that combines proof-of-work with proof-of-stake, and its positioning as the compliant public chain option in Asian markets. The chain runs two environments in parallel. Core Space is the native side, and eSpace is the EVM-compatible side where Ethereum tooling works out of the box. That split matters practically here, because Upbit supports deposits exclusively through eSpace. Sending CFX through Core Space or any other network is the kind of mistake that ends in a lengthy manual recovery, if the funds come back at all. The rule is the same one we repeat on every listing page: match the network the exchange displays at deposit time, and when in doubt, send a small test amount first.
Upbit also wrapped the open in its standard anti-manipulation kit, and the details are worth knowing if you trade Korean listings. For the first two hours, only limit orders were available. Initial buy orders faced a five-minute restriction window, and sell orders more than 10% below the reference price were blocked, all per the listing coverage. These guardrails exist because Korean listing pops have a long history of violent first candles; they compress the chaos rather than eliminate it. The practical effect is that the first hours of an Upbit listing are a bad place to chase momentum, since the order book is deliberately handcuffed and the price that forms inside those restrictions often looks very different once they lift.
The honest framing for anyone holding or eyeing CFX: a listing expands access, it does not create demand. The 8.5% pre-listing move already priced the announcement, and whether Korean retail actually adopts the token decides what happens after the guardrails come off. Upbit listing weeks have produced both durable re-ratings and complete round trips, sometimes in the same month, as the GRVT launch window and the wave of recent Korean listings show. We have added CFX to the tracker with this Upbit event as its first entry, and we will append dated rows if other major venues follow, which is historically what happens when a token clears Upbit's listing bar: it is one of the strictest in the industry, and other exchanges treat it as a signal. Until then, treat the pop as what it is, an access story trading on expectations, and size any position accordingly.
Not financial advice Listings often spike and then bleed once the initial hype unwinds. Nothing here is a suggestion to buy this token. Verify dates on the exchange's own announcement page before trading: schedules slip.
